Knights of Dragonshire Radio Theatre Nominated for a Uni Award for Best MUSIC at Sonic Society!
Howl-o is pleased to be nominated for Best Music at the upcoming Uni Awards at Sonic Society. The radio show has over 50,000 listeners and Knights of Dragonshire was aired there last year. While we provided the bulk of the music , we also share the honors with Viktoria Brown, Leghorn the Piper, Dustin Askins, and the late Matt McLeod, who helped us out on tuba on "The Dragon of Parley Peak"
(Here's a note from Sonic Society about the voting process)
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE FINALISTS. Again, please vote! Voting begins tonight and continues until June 23rd. Look on the Sonic Society website for the voting link. The only difference is you'll need to add an additional code. That code can only be heard here on the show and its _______. That's _______. All one word (no spaces) and in lowercase. I've tested the form, so it does work. And if you get a white page with an error message after you've voted, it will only be because the code was not entered in properly. So make sure you put it in, and please don't pass it around as we really only want us, the regular listeners to have a say. After all, you should be the ones right? You trade an hour of your time every week to be a part of the Sonic Society. Here's one of the benefits! So closed ballots beginning tonight! Good luck!

My ideal faire would tend to favor the arts. Ephasis on music, theatre, so there would be lots of stages with music shows and plays. Lots of lane performers. Lots of enchanted forests with fantasy characters. In the lanes, colorful characacters that fill us with wonder and cause kids and adults to laugh and hearts to fill with wonder. Drunken priests, professional insulters, faerie folk, and saucy wenches interacting with patrons. Smee and Blog would certainly be there. Axel the Sot. Merriment and revelry would be emphasized. Exhibitions of a violent nature would be minimized, and very theatrical, even comical. After closing gate, there would be special concerts, some of which would include "plugged in" sets with the band playing original and traditional tunes, but with perhaps an electric guitar or some such. Stages would be built for sound, i.e., back and side panels to push the sound forward instead of having it dissipate in the wind. Every stage would have a weatherproof "keep" for musicians to stow their instruments in. There would be facities for performers, who also have to live "after hours". Good campgrounds, trailers, or permanent living quarters, with hot showers and washing/drying machines available to all. Performers would be well paid and never *ever* have to pay for a meal!
